TVRI News are reporting on a significant step forward in Bali’s health tourism industry, with the announcement that the Central Government is preparing to build a Health Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Sanur, Bali. This is Indonesia’s first and the intention was immediately welcomed by the Bali DPRD.
Chairman of Commission III of the Bali DPRD, Anak Agung Ngurah Adhi Ardhana, said that the determination of Sanur to be the location for the construction of the first Health SEZ in Indonesia would have a positive impact on Bali’s economic cycle through various sectors.
“I really support the plan to develop the Health SEZ in Sanur. This is because the development of the Special Economic Health Zone in Sanur is believed to have a significant positive impact not only on the economic cycle of Bali in various sectors, but also save the country’s foreign exchange which is predicted to reach IDR 86-trillion,” said Adhi Ardhana at the Bali DPRD Office.
However, Adhi asked the central government to continue to pay attention to a number of things in development, including aspects of technical regulations that must be met, requirements for building form, maximum building height, licensing issues and others.
“Bali certainly has some specialties, be it the shape of the building, the height and so on. Composing the concept of Tri Hita Karana, now it must be followed or if there are specifics, then special rules must also be made,” he said.
