Tempo is reporting that UAE’s Etihad Airways, has launched direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Bali. The inaugural flight (EY476) took off from Abu Dhabi on June 25 and was met with a warm welcome upon arrival in Denpasar, marking the start of the regular service. Etihad’s Captain raised the UAE and Indonesian flags from the cockpit to celebrate the launch of the direct connection.
“I am honored to be welcomed to this island (Bali) today, and proud to be carrying a full flight on our inaugural trip to Bali,” Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said in a press statement received by Tempo on July 5, 2024, adding that he and the team were pleased to be able to add Bali to the list of destinations served directly from Abu Dhabi.
“This is our second destination in Indonesia, after Jakarta. We look forward to connecting our guests from the Middle East, Europe, and across our global network to the tropical island of Indonesia,” Arik De said.
Bali offers something for everyone: adventure, relaxation, cultural immersion, and stunning scenery. Visitors can choose between hitting the beaches, exploring rice paddies, or experiencing the vibrant culture of Ubud.
When booking on etihad.com, passengers can extend their journey with a complimentary hotel stay in Abu Dhabi, perfect for exploring the city’s beaches, deserts, and cultural attractions.
According to Tempo, the direct Abu Dhabi-Bali service operates four times a week using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering both Etihad’s renowned Business Studios (28 seats) and Economy Smart Seats (262 seats). Passengers can enjoy in-flight entertainment, in-seat power, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Earlier this July, Etihad Airways also launched new services to other destinations, including Al Qassim in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jaipur in India, as well as seasonal summer destinations to Antalya, Málaga, Mykonos, Nice, and Santorini.
