According to reporting from Airways Mag, Thai Airways International (TG) will offer a second scheduled flight between Bangkok (BKK) and Denpasar (DPS) next month.
The BKK-based carrier will offer a second daily frequency on the popular DPS route from October 27. The additional service comes ahead of the peak year-end holiday season when more passengers travel to Bali. TG is thus adding capacity to handle the increased passenger volumes on flights to Bali. This flight will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The additional new daily flight, TG 439, will depart BKK at 12.35 (local time), arriving in DPS at 18.00 (local time). The return flight, TG440, will depart DPS at 19.00 (local time), arriving in BKK at 22.15 (local time). Business Insider reports that TG’s Royal Silk Class is not currently available on this service, operated by an A320 narrow-body aircraft, says Airways Mag.
TG’s legacy service to DPS will continue to be operated as scheduled. The daily flight to Bali, TG431, departs BKK at 08.50 (local time) and arrives in DPS at 14.15 (local time). Flight TG 432 departs DPS at 16.10 (local time) for the return flight to BKK and arrives at 19.25 (local time).
This flight is operated by either an Airbus A350-900 or a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with lie-flat 1-2-1 seating in Royal Silk Class.
Airways Mag reports that the Star Alliance member has engaged in a fleet renewal and expansion program during recent months. TG has taken delivery of three additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft and an additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
These aircraft enable TG to increase frequencies on other routes, including Sydney (SYD), Taipei (TPE), Tokyo Narita (NRT), Kunming (KMG), and Chengdu (CTU).
Thailand’s national carrier resumed services in Perth (PER), Colombo (CMB), Milan (MIL), and Oslo (OSL) in the last quarter. TG has also announced plans to launch scheduled flights to Kochi (COK) in India.
