Data from Indonesia’s Central Statistics Agency of Bali Province recorded a growth rate of 5.52% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025 — higher than the previous quarter (5.19%) and above the national average of 4.87%.
The accommodation, food, and beverage sectors remain the backbone of Bali’s economic expansion. In line with this momentum, Bali Interfood 2025 was held from September 10–12 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).
The international exhibition showcased food and beverage products, bakery ingredients, HORECA equipment, and processing and packaging technologies. It was held in conjunction with Bali Hotel & Tourism, Bali Coffee Expo, Bali Wine & Spirit, and Bakery Indonesia Expo 2025.
Krista Exhibitions CEO Daud D Salim stated that this year’s Bali Interfood featured 110 exhibitors — including 40 SMEs from 17 countries — and attracted approximately 15,000 visitors.
“The presence of Bali Interfood 2025 was part of a series of food and beverage exhibitions organized by Krista Exhibitions in three major cities: East Food Indonesia in Surabaya, Bali Interfood in Bali, and SIAL Interfood in Jakarta,” Daud said in Denpasar. “The exhibition also showcased the latest technologies benefiting the food and beverage processing industry.”
The event included business matching sessions connecting exhibitors with buyers, distributors, and investors. Chairman of PHRI Bali, Cokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati, emphasized its direct impact on Bali’s economy.
“We estimate that the exhibition required nearly five thousand hotel rooms for one night. With average rates around Rp1–2 million, that alone generated billions — not including food and beverage spending.”
Meanwhile, Chairman of GIPI Bali, Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana, highlighted the significant potential of Bali’s culinary sector:
“There are currently 245,000 culinary businesses in Bali with estimated revenue around Rp6.8 trillion. This income is driven by tourism and high visitor spending. I hope this exhibition helps elevate Indonesian cuisine to the international stage.”
Bali Interfood 2025 not only expanded business opportunities but also served as a showcase for Indonesia’s diverse culinary heritage — reinforcing Bali’s tourism growth in the post-pandemic era.
