Public Urged to Arrange Immigration Issues Prior to Nyepi–Eid Holiday

The Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration has announced its readiness to manage immigration services during the upcoming Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holidays.

Head of the Bali Immigration Office, Felucia Sengky Ratna, urged both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals to finalize their immigration documents before March 18, 2026, to avoid technical issues or the risk of overstaying.

Felucia emphasized that while administrative services at immigration offices will be temporarily closed, monitoring at international entry points in Bali remains a priority.

“At Ngurah Rai International Airport and Bali’s seaports, our officers will remain on duty 24 hours a day. Visa on Arrival services and immigration checks for foreign visitors will continue as usual to ensure smooth travel experiences during the holiday period,” Felucia said.

She added that urgent cases, such as medical travel abroad, can be handled through the nearest immigration hotline. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay updated via the official Immigration website and social media channels.

VOA Remain Available

The operational changes in Bali are part of a nationwide adjustment announced by the Directorate General of Immigration. Acting Director General Yuldi Yusman confirmed that immigration offices across Indonesia will suspend administrative services from March 18 to March 24, 2026, and resume operations on March 25, 2026.

“Please complete your immigration matters before March 17, 2026. The e‑Visa portal will also be temporarily unavailable, so we strongly advise both citizens and foreign nationals to finalize their applications early to avoid inconvenience or overstays during the holiday,” Yuldi stated.

Despite the closure of administrative services, immigration monitoring and inspections at international airports and seaports nationwide will continue without interruption. Visa on Arrival services for foreign tourists will remain available.

For urgent needs, the “One‑Day Passport Service” will still be accessible across Indonesia. Applicants whose passports are ready are advised to collect them no later than March 17, 2026. Those unable to attend scheduled appointments after the holiday can reschedule via the M‑Paspor application.
