Bali Police Launches Cakrawasi Website to Monitor Foreign Nationals

Bali Regional Police has introduced Cakrawasi, short for Cakra Pengawasan Orang Asing, a website designed to strengthen monitoring and data collection of foreigners’ activities across the island, aiming to reduce illegal practices and visa violations.

The website functions as an integrated surveillance system, tracking the presence and movements of foreigners in real time, supported by a centralized Command Center for data analysis.

“With this system, the risks of illegal activities, misuse of stay permits, and other legal violations can be minimized and mitigated immediately,” said Bali Regional Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, in Denpasar on Saturday (14/3/2026), as quoted by AntaraNews.com.

No User Login Required

The Cakrawasi website relies on public participation in monitoring foreign nationals in Bali. According to Bali Police’s Directorate of Security Intelligence official, Commissioner I Wayan Sugita, this initiative is part of efforts to maintain the quality of Bali’s tourism.

“Through Cakrawasi, the public is actively involved in providing information to support understanding and supervision of foreigners. The goal is clear: to create tourism in Bali that is safe and of high quality for everyone,” said Commissioner Sugita.

He added that Cakrawasi was designed to be highly user-friendly. Both the public and accommodation providers do not need a user login to submit reports.

With international tourism surging to 7.05 million visitors in 2025, Cakrawasi requires accommodation providers, including hotels and villas, to submit accurate data that matches original passports. This initiative is intended to close security gaps, particularly the use of multiple or forged passports by criminal actors.

Initially, the system focused only on recording tourist accommodation data, but it has now been expanded to allow the general public to report suspicious activities by foreign nationals.

“People simply access the website and fill in the reporting form. We continue to improve the system, including enhancing its ability to read various international passport formats to ensure more valid data collection,” Commissioner Sugita added.

The Cakrawasi platform can be accessed directly through its official website: https://cakrawasibali.com/
