Balinese Cultural Parade Preserves Traditions and Support Tourism

Bali cultural parade enlivens the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney) organized by PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC), as part of the InJourney Group.

According to Tempo.co, this celebration took place in Nusa Dua on Monday, January 13, 2024, and mixed cultural beauty with various interesting activities that directly involved tourists.

ITDC President Director, Ari Respati emphasized that this parade was held to commemorate the 3rd Anniversary of InJourney, with the theme ‘Serving Indonesia Wholeheartedly’ as a form of appreciation for cultural diversity and commitment to supporting Indonesian tourism.

The main event in this celebration is the cultural parade, which aims to introduce Bali’s rich culture to the world. This parade features a variety of traditional elements, such as Barong dance, Gamelan Baleganjur musical accompaniment, and gebogan bearers.

The participants wore traditional clothes from Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Nusa Tenggara. Tourists who are present in the area can also enjoy traditional Balinese dances accompanied by Gamelan Baleganjur.

The aroma of incense and canang sari adds to the typical Balinese atmosphere. Not only that, tourists are also indulged by Balinese milk pie as souvenirs and the opportunity to take pictures at the photo booth.

Special Promo for Tourists

As part of a series of events, ITDC offers a special promo in the form of a 30 percent discount for Kecak and Barong Dance Show performances which can be enjoyed during the period of 13-31 January 2025.

“This celebration shows the strength of synergy between InJourney Group members in supporting the national tourism vision,” said Ari Respati.

Ari hopes that the collaboration can provide real benefits for the community, tourism actors, and tourists, as well as support the sustainable development of Indonesian tourism.

“The celebration of InJourney’s 3rd Anniversary is an important momentum to strengthen our commitment to integrating local culture with world-class tourism management,” he added.

“This year is a year of service, where InJourney focuses on creating a collaborative tourism ecosystem and providing mutual benefits,” said Ari.

He hopes that events like this will be part of a routine that will bring tourists to know Indonesia more deeply.

Regarding the enthusiasm of tourists, Ari Respati revealed that this cultural parade received a positive response from visitors who were enthusiastic about capturing the moment with their cameras.

He also expressed his gratitude for the support from various parties, including the Bali Collection, and hoped that activities like this could continue to be held by involving more parties to introduce Indonesia to the world.

On the same occasion, ITDC’s Commercial Director, Troy Reza Warokka, emphasized that ITDC seeks to maximize the cultural potential in the tourism areas it manages, such as The Nusa Dua, Mandalika, and Golomori.

According to him, this event is an important step in integrating culture as the main attraction in the premium tourist area managed by ITDC. Troy also emphasized the importance of community participation in cultural development in tourism areas.
