Big Bad Wolf Bali 2025 Kicks Off at Discovery Mall Kuta

Big Bad Wolf Bali

Big Bad Wolf (BBW) Bali 2025 has officially returned, running from July 31 to August 10, 2025, at the South Beach Corridor, Discovery Mall Bali.

This international book exhibition aims to foster a culture of reading among the public, in line with BBW’s slogan: “Changing the World, One Book at a Time.”

The event was officially opened by Ketut Sukadana, Acting Head of the Economic and Development Section of Kuta Sub-District, demonstrating local government support for the reading movement.

“Bali is the home of culture, creativity, and books walking hand in hand. BBW is a global movement, and here in Bali, we want to bring together tourists, local communities, and the spirit of literacy in one space,” Andrew Yap, Founder of BBW, emphasized Bali’s unique charm.

“BBW started from a simple belief, that books should not be a luxury. Books are bridges across cultures, and we believe reading can inspire and entertain anyone.”

1 Million New Books

This edition of BBW Bali offers over 1 million brand-new books across various genres—including fiction, self-development, and children’s books with discounts of up to 90%. Titles are available in both English and Indonesian.

BBW also collaborates with the Association of Parents of Children with Down Syndrome (POTADS) in Bali, underlining its commitment to inclusive reading initiatives.

The heartwarming opening ceremony featured traditional Balinese dance and a fashion book show by children with special needs from the POTADS community.

Marthius Wandi Budianto, Director of BBW Indonesia, emphasized that the event goes beyond a book sale:

“BBW Bali 2025 is not just a book bazaar. It’s a relaxed literacy vacation and a celebration of creativity and imagination for all.

BBW Indonesia is proud to return to Bali, an island loved by the world. With over 1 million new books and a variety of exciting programs, we want to create an enjoyable and meaningful reading experience, where visitors can hunt for books and surf through a sea of stories.”

In addition to the extensive book selection, BBW Bali 2025 also features various interactive and rewarding programs, including:

  • Book Haul Contest (Kontes Traktiran Belanja)
  • PHOTO AT BBW with the hashtag #FOTODIBBW2025
  • Instant Gift-With-Purchase Books

BBW presents itself not only as the largest book bazaar, but also as a movement dedicated to making quality books accessible to all.

From illustrated children’s books and board books to self-development titles, bestselling fiction, and hardcover reference books, everything is available at affordable prices.

BBW Bali 2025 is free of charge and open to the public, inviting both locals and tourists to make this book fair a part of their holiday journey and to enrich their lifestyle through books.
