Antara News is reporting that Bali’s Trans Metro Dewata (TMD) bus service was temporarily suspended on Wednesday (1/1/25,) and replaced by the Trans Sarbagita service. Head of Bali’s Transportation Agency (Dishub), IGW Samsi Gunarta said in Denpasar on Thursday (2/1/25,) that this will fill the gap in service in several TMD corridors.
Samsi said the difference between TMD is the number of corridors served, where TMD served six corridors, Trans Sarbagita is currently prepared for two return corridors.
The TMD round trip routes were Kuta Parking Center to Pesiapan Terminal, Ubung Terminal to Ngurah Rai Airport, Ubung Terminal to Icon Mal Bali, Ubung Terminal to Monkey Forest, Kuta Parking Center to Bali State Polytechnic, and Kuta Parking Center to Nusa Dua Parking Center, says Antara News.
“Trans Sarbagita’s service routes are temporarily running in only two corridors, namely GOR Ngurah Rai to Pesiapan Terminal round trip via Ubung Terminal and Mengwi Terminal, and the GOR Ngurah Rai to Bali State Polytechnic corridor via Kuta Central Parking,” said Samsi.
Antara News reports that Dishub has currently provided Trans Sarbagita service providers with the Mitra Darat application, a system that regulates the movement of Trans Metro Dewata so that their bus stops will follow the usual TMD. Samsi said there were 10 blue bus fleets prepared including two reserves.
Users of this public transportation will also be charged the same service fee as TMD, which is IDR 4,400 and there are special fees for students, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
