Bali Police deploys around 1,055 personnel for Operation Patuh Agung 2026, a 14-day traffic enforcement campaign running from October 26 to November 8, 2026.
According to Police Senior Superintendent Yong Ferrydjon, Director of Traffic at Bali Police, the operation aims to improve road safety, reduce traffic violations, and ensure smooth mobility for both residents and visitors across the island.
“The goal of Operation Patuh Agung 2026 is to reduce traffic violations, lower the number of accidents, and decrease road fatalities. Through this operation, we hope to restore safe driving habits and improve safety on our roads,” Ferrydjon said in Denpasar on Monday (October 26, 2026).
Focus on Tourist Areas and Traffic Hotspots
The operation covers all jurisdictions under Bali Police, with particular attention given to areas prone to traffic violations, accidents, and congestion.
Traffic monitoring will be intensified in the Sarbagita region, including Denpasar, Badung, and Tabanan. Popular tourism hubs such as Canggu and Sanur will also receive special attention due to recurring traffic violations involving foreign visitors.
However, Ferrydjon stressed that road safety and compliance are a shared responsibility between local residents and international visitors.
“We must lead by example. If we enforce the rules on foreign visitors, they may point out that local residents are doing the same things. So we all need to follow the rules together,” he said.
According to Ferrydjon, addressing traffic violations involving foreign tourists requires not only enforcement but also preventive measures. Bali Police plan to work with relevant stakeholders, including vehicle rental businesses and foreign consulates, to improve awareness and compliance.
