Digital travel platform Agoda has just released its Repeat Visitor Ranking, highlighting the 10 destinations in Asia most often revisited by travelers.
Based on booking data from the first half of this year, Agoda revealed that Bali climbed one spot to third place, overtaking Seoul for the first time.
Tokyo also rose to the top position, pushing Bangkok down to second. Rounding out the top five are Bali, Seoul, and Osaka. Da Nang, Kuala Lumpur, Fukuoka, Taipei, and Johor Bahru complete the top 10 list.
Strong Indicator of Appeal
Agoda’s ranking is based on repeat bookings across Asia during the first half of 2026. Bali stood out for its ability to draw visitors back — thanks to its beaches, rich culture, natural landscapes, and growing wellness tourism scene.
Agoda’s Senior Country Director for Indonesia, Gede Gunawan, explained: “Repeat visits are the strongest indicator of a destination’s appeal. Bali is a clear example, consistently attracting travelers with its natural beauty, cultural richness, dynamic tropical lifestyle, and the ongoing development of new attractions.”
Beyond Bali, Agoda’s data also shows that Jakarta, Batam, Lombok, and Bandung are among Indonesia’s top destinations for returning visitors. Jakarta moved up to 25th place in Asia’s top 50 repeat destinations, Batam climbed three spots to 27th, and Lombok rose three places to 41st.
