Aviation Source News are reporting on preparations being made at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport for the arrival of the first Emirates Airbus A380 on 1 June 2023, the world’s largest passenger aircraft, carrying up to 615 passengers.
The arrival of the A380 is a major milestone for the airport, and is expected to boost tourism to Bali.
A number of infrastructure upgrades have been carried out at the airport to accommodate the A380, including expanding the runway to accommodate the A380, installing new jet bridges and upgrading the airport’s baggage handling system.
The airport has also been working to improve its customer service, which is also involved personnel training on the management and handling of the A380 operation, say Aviation Source News.
The A380 will operate on a daily basis between Dubai and Denpasar. The flight will depart from Dubai International Airport at 03:25 hrs and arrive in Denpasar International Airport at 16:35 hrs local time.
