Chinese New Year in Bali: Cultural Fusion with Barong Landung & Lion Dance

In a celebration of cultural unity between Bali and China, Penglipuran Village in Bangli will present a special Barong Landung performance on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 10:00 WITA, to mark the Chinese New Year.

Featuring 25 local youth, the performance embodies the harmony between cultures, as symbolized by the story of King Jayapangus and his Chinese wife, Kang Cing Wie, according to Wayan Sumiarsa, Head of Penglipuran Tourism Village.
