Detik Travel are reporting that International Living Magazine recently released which regions or countries in Asia are the best locations to retire to using ten scoring indicators from the 2022 global pension index to determine the best location.
These indicators include housing costs, visa facilities, entertainment centers, health facilities, infrastructure, climate conditions or weather, government governance, benefits and discounts.
Based on this assessment, Bali ranked as the fourth best location to spend retirement, receiving a Global Retirement Index (GRI) score of 69-points.
From this score, it can be seen that Bali is not only favored by young people for holidays, but also the target of established older people to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Bali has a variety of destinations, from mountains to beaches, as well as culture and people who are friendly to immigrants, say Detik Travel.
According to International Living Magazine the Top Six Asian destinations to retire are:
- Thailand with a GRI score of 72.9 points.
- Cambodia, with a GRI score of 72.3 points.
